Hi there,
I remember me using the iMessage from my iMac a few years ago. It was very convenient, as I could receive/ send messages from both my phone and my computer.
However, iMessage seems to be disconnected from my Mac.
I saw many comments blaming the new iOS update for this issue.
Anyhow, I wanted to sync iMessages for both my machines - iPhone and iMac. Here's how-to.
1. Let's first open up the iMessage app > Messages Menu > Preference, and check 'You can be reached for messages at:'. Do you only see your email? If you can see
2. On your phone, go to Setting > Messages and switch OFF the iMessage and turn it ON again.
3. Go into 'Send & Receive' menu, and select 'User your Apple ID for iMesage'
4. Then you'll see both of your phone number and your email address. You're all set!
5. From the iMac, you'll be asked a few questions.
"Do you wnat to add {your phone number} to iMessage and FaceTime?"
"Messages can send and receive your iPhone text messages on this Mac"
Just click 'yes' to everything.
Now it's synced on your iMac!
You should be aware that it only syncs the conversation that takes place from now on. The old conversation doesn't sync into your mac.
